i have the full version of "suse linux" on a spare hdd,i would like to copy this os straight to a linux partition on another machine running win xp,i do have partition magic on this machine and at first i thought this would be easy to do ,i do not want to do a fresh install from suse dvd to partition as i would then have to reinstall all my peripherals etc.
my os is backed up,has anyone any ideas please.

what you will need to do is install the spare hdd as slave drive on your system that has XP. Therefore giving you two drives on that system. All you have to do then is copy the files across to the partition you want. But I think you will still have to install linux as partition magic will not know it is installed otherwise. I would install linux through partition magic, then copy across all your stuff off the spare drive....TT
