HDD compatibility?

I want to increase the amount of storage space on my hard drive and want to add another HDD. The problem I have is I am unsure which HDDs are compatible. I have refered to the manual that came with the PC, and although I am sure the answer is ithere, I cannot make sense of the jargon. The manual reads as follows:

The mainboard has a 32-bit Enhanced PCI IDE and Ultra DMA/66 (ICH)/Ultra DMA/33 (ICH0) Controller that provides PIO mode 0-4, Bus Master, and Ultra DMA/33 function...

Please enlighten me!

Any IDE hard drive - that is, not a SATA drive (the newer ones).

Depending on the age of the PC, you may find a limit on the size of the hard disk you can put in.
