HDcp monitors

Please help, from earlier replys I have been given some great advice on monitors.
Even more confused now, seen a few monitors with the HDCP caperbilities on them as well as 1640 x 1040 resolution.(grahic card has this as well).
My use will be for gaming and video editing, the question is- is it worth spending the extra for a hdcp monitor, is it much better than just a Dvi socket , I will not be watching films/tv ect so is it worth it.
thanks once again.

for your needs dvi is all you need. samsung 226bw is an excellent 22" for gaming, the price has dropped to about £245 recently.
