i have got an Acer aspire ax3810 with the hd4350 graphics card with 512mb ram. 4gb ram in machine

ive just noticed that the computer has an hdmi out.

i cant find much info on the net but i have found that the card will play blu-ray disks. is this correct or will it upscale a normal dvd disc to 1080p. i cant find much info about the installed dvd drive so dont know if that needs to be altered or upgraded for blu-ray
thanks annie

The card will output HD but to do so needs an HD Input i.e. a Blu Ray DVD drive which as standard your computer does not have and then the output needs to be to an HD monitor.

i have an hd tv next to the comp so was going to use the hdmi from the xbox to test it.
so i presume the dvd drive wont output blu ray or standard hd aswell?
