Have to run Network wizard every-time I reboot

I have a USR robotics adsl wireless gateway. My desktop is connected to it via an ethernet cable (the router lives on top of it so wireless would seem a little pointless) and my laptop connects wirelessly. Both machines are running windows xp.

Whilst everything works ok, when I reboot my desktop it fails to recognise the router. If I run the windows network wizard it is all fine again but surely I shouldn't need to do this every-time I switch on my desktop. The laptop on the other hand has no problems at all and doesn't need the wizard running when it reboots and connects as soon as it gets a signal.

Any ideas?

Many thanks,
