Have firefox issues been fixed

I upgraded a while back to the latest firefox browser, but eventually had to reinstall 3.6 due to the number of issues with the upgrade. Does anyone know if the issues have been fixed now and what version is safe to upgrade to.

If it was "a while back", that version will almost certainly now have been superseded. The latest version is 6.0 but, as I haven't experienced any particular "issues" with the interim upgrades, you'll have to try it for yourself to see if it is now OK for you.

Ok Thanks I'll give it a go. I'm running vista. Would that make any difference

No, operating system shouldn't make any difference. I have Firefox 6 running in XP and Windows 7.

Doesn't appear to be any 'issues' now, so as suggested 'give it a go'.

No the issues are still there.

Under Add Ons.Extentions, java console is Incompatible, and Avast WebRep is also incompatible.

Add-On Compatibility Reporter 0.8.7

Just downloaded that Mozilla add-on and now have Avast WebRep working.

Feel a bit safer when browsing now.

It just says Add-On Compatibility checking is disabled now.

Stay with 5 version 6 has add on issues.

Same add-on issues as 5.
