Has anyone had a call said to be from Windows to offer software to deal with supposed error messages. If so please advise if OK
Sounds like a very well known scam,by Windows do you mean Microsoft?They will not ring you.
It is a scam. Also best not to show your e-mail address for all and sundry to see.
A well known scam been running for early a couple of years now.
Fruit Bat /\0/\ - Regrettably not well known enough. I know a person who I normally regard as pretty switched on who fell for it. He admitted he felt a fool afterwards.
As compumac says, do not show your email address. Best to change your user name to something else.
