hardware profiles.

Dear Colleagues,

I am running a system based on a MS-6368(v5.x)motherboard - a P111 (1.2GHZ)CPU, and a 60 gigabyte Seagate HDD.My OS is Windows XP Home.

I have just checked my hardware profile, and it tells me that my No1 profile is a laptop docking station - my setup is a desktop pc - will this hardware profile effect the performance of my system, and if it will, how do I alter the hardware profile in order to maximise overall performance.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Have a look in the properties of your hardware profile, you might find that the "this is a portable computer" box has been ticked. Un-tick it and save the changes.

I have tried this but the box was unticked.
