Hi,

I have a Brother MFC 7420 combi printer. I have discovered that when faxing, scanning and copying the scanner scan's the documents with two parralell black lines either side of the middle of the page.

Obviously with is an issue with the scanner. But what exactly?

Does anyone know what is my next best move and/or have had experience in this area before that can help?

‘parralell’ that’s novel!

Anyway, whenever I have problems with printers, I clear the print buffer, uninstall the printer, reboot and let windows reinstall it. Try it, you have nothing to lose.

Try updating the drivers from the makers site.

This is a link to the Brother MFC-7420 pdf user file click here. If you look at 11-18 troubleshooting it give some suggestions on solving this possible problem.

Honest !! ........ anyway, shouldn't that be prevaricator ?

Apologies for going off topic but "I've started so I'll finish", Shakespeare or did someone else say that?

No, a prevaricator puts together factory made houses.
