Hardware Install

  Terry Brown 19:08 21 Apr 04

I have put a new motherboard in, no problem, however I want to use my existing soundcard, instead of the built in one.
The problem is everytime I start the system, it tries to auto-install, and knocks out my sound card. I have to go to Add /Remove software to remove it to allow my sound card to work. How can I turn off the Auto Install from Windows (XP Pro).
Many Thanks

Should be an option in the bios to disable the on board sound and the graphics if there is one.
