A colleague has passed their pC to me for checking as it does not work. I tried a Diagnostic disk from bootup but it fails. The HD does not boot. If I try to repair the OS I am told there is no HD. I wanted to run PC Pitstop via the web on that HD so I have placed their HD on my PC as a Master and it won't boot. I have made it a slave and it just freezes my system. I take it is knacked. It is a Tiny System which has 32Mb Ram, 40Gb HDD and an MSI 6191 Motherboard.

Should I suggest that they salvage the DVD player and CDRW etc and just get another CPU????

The OS is tied to that HDD.

Time are, sort of, obliged to sell another with OEM OS, but there's no telling at what price
