hard faults

my pc is painfully slow.im running vista with 512mb ram and amd athlon64 dual core processor.when i go into resource manager the graph tells me that the memory is experiencing 80 -100 hard faults..what does this mean. is pc faulty.. thank you

Vista requires at least 1GB of ram really to run smoothly,possibly more depending on your needs.

Vista's minimum specification is 1GB of RAM, with a recommendation of a 2GB for trouble free operation.
