hard drive woes

i have a new hard disk and its an 80 gig.i have installed it into my pc without problems and now i want to format and partition it so i can install suse linux onto it.i have a 120 gig hdd which has been set to master and has all my documents on it along with windows XP home.

so in short i want to know how to format the new disk make 2 partitions on it and load linux on it along side of windows.

XP has its own application to do this called Disk Management.

Right click on My Computer and choose 'Manage'.

Then choose Disk management.

Right click on the left hand side of the entry that relates to your new drive and select 'initialize'.

Then right click the right hand side and select new partition. From here you can partition and format.
