i want to update my hard drive it is only 8.5gb.iam not sure wether my old system will take more gb's.what information about my system will i need to know i have belarc advisor on my computer

you need to go to your mobo website to see what the bios limitation is,there should be info there to see what size h/drive you can install,may also be a bios upgrade to support a bigger h/drive.

If your motherboard doesn't support larger hard disks the hard disc manufacturer should have a downloadable drive overlay which will fool the motherboard and allow a larger drive to be installed and fully accessed.
