having just installed a new h/drive it shows up in cmos but not in "my computer" any help would be appreciated. I have installed it as a slave and jumpers etc are all correct, I've been in device manager and it shows in there as working ok , running Windows XP Home

Has it been fdisked/partitioned?

Have you tried to "right click" on "my computer" and choose "manage" and then "disk management"? If so, what shows there?
