Can a HDD be run safely upside down ?

yup mine is now just make sure none of the components on the hdd are touching the chasis

Thanks for reply.I am trying to free up some space and there are 4 short metal lugs on bottom of drive bay and hard disk can be screwed to these wrong way up, but being well cooled by intake fan.
