Hard drive management

Hi everyone very helpful forum and I hope I'll be able to contribute at some point. I'm a newbie and already have a question hope I've posted it in the right place.
I currently run w7 on a brand new computer which I'm really pleased with. I have two hard drives 160gb C drive and a 1TB F drive as well as DVD/CD drive. All doc's music etc etc automaticaly save to the C drive. I want to set up the F drive so that it's the default storage space for everything I do. Currently the C drive has the OS system on it. I want to keep this just for OS.

How do change the settings so everything goes onto the F drive when I click save?

new files placed in My docs will automatically go to D if you move the My docs folder.
