HARD DRIVE LETTERS CHANGED

My Hard Drive is "C".
I have two external back up hard drives connected by USB 2, which used to be "F" and "G"
I plugged in a Flash Drive when the two external hard drives were switched off and the computer designated it as "F"
After disconnecting the Flash Drive I switched on the External Hard Drives but their letters had changed and their short cuts no longer find them.
Is there any way of changing these letters to their original settings?
I have Windows XP plus all the upgrades.
Grateful for any help, Thanks.
