hard drive jumpers

i have an maxtor 1.7gig hard drive,i want to set it to slave and use it as an secondery drive,problem is jumper pins not marked ie=sl,ma,cs,ect.can any one tell me which is what. [:::.:]this is pin layout.

I believe For slave theres no jumpers required So you just remove the one thats there..But Ill Check

the maxtor site at click here gives most of the info you need ...just id your drive and the info is available on the knowledge base.

PS it does say that the most common option for a slave drive is NO jumper

If your master drive already fitted uses Cable select, then change it to be Master - and leave your old one without a jumper, as Slave, as suggested above.

It doesn't matter what cable you have, you can always use Master and Slave settings.
