Hi when you say "its showing as two drives" are you saying that the 80gig HDD is showing as 2 drives. Or do you mean because you have 2 HDD's they are showing as separate drives?

Operating system? xp or vista?
Resizing Partitions with Windows Vista:

1. Click on the Start Button and right click on Computer and select Manage.
2. Expand the Storage section and select Disk Management.
3. Then just right click on any partition and select either Expand or Shrink to change the size of the partition.

This will allow you to safely resize your partitions without any data loss.

XP requires third party software to do the same.

Just to expand on what Fruit Bat said.

You can't just format it to one drive - you need to remove the partitions (the two logical drives) and replace with a single partition first, which occupies the whole drive. Then you format the new single partition.

You can do all that in Disk Management in both XP and Vista.
