Hard Drive Format Problem

  PhiltheFragger 20:06 12 Jan 04

Am transplanting a 30gb Hdd from a dead Tiny System into a new system with XP and am having trouble.

The Hdd is partitioned NTFS 95% and a 5% partition that looks like a protected partition coz i cant get rid of it Tried Fdisk, no good.

If I ignore it and load XP. then My computer shows the main Hdd as drive E , with no sign of drive C anywhere.

Any ideas??????

Go to the HDD manifacturers site and download the Disk utilities; use the one that does a 'low level' format of the disk: then reformat as required
