I have removed the hard drive from my Grandson's damaged PC. How do I transfer the data from it to my PC? [Important schoolwork on disc!]

just connect it up using another ide cable , set it as a slave to your main harddrive and then just copy the infomation across to your

Thanks, sounds too good to be true! I've a second [slave] HD on my PC so I suppose if I substitute for that things will run OK?

Yup thats fine, just make sure you set the jumpers on the Grandsons hard drive to be a slave as well.
