Hard Drive Backup

I've looked at backing up my laptop's hard drive using either Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image but don't understand how I can use CD-R or DVD.

My primary partition [winXP] contains some 6gig.

My secondary partition contains some 11gig of data etc.

So how if at all will either of these programs allow me to backup to CD-R or DVD?

Well Ghost 2003 can copy to CD-R/DVD-R media, but Ghost 9 (latest version) and Acronis can only copy to rewritable media like cd-rw...

You just have to select the rewriter drive as you would any other drive and then follow the on-screen instructions...

Thanks mattyc_92,

Maybe I didn't make my point clearly.

Are you saying that either program will write the image to multiple CDs or DVDs?

Yes... But the latest version of Ghost and Acronis will only copy to rewritable media...

Thanks mattyc_92,

Will do some research and spend some hard-earned tomorrow.
