I would like to ask if anyone can advise me as to getting the best from my hard drive, is there any way I can make It more efficient without upgrading , I have 40gh hard drive ane run win ME

Regular defragmentation is a good thing to help get your drive working at its best.

Cacheman is a free little utility that managers your system cache and seeks where possible to prevent paging to disk. In its XP varient (which I use) it also adds a number of additional tweaks that may help your system performamce and as a useful by-product reduce noise from your hard disk caused by paging and other factors.
