HARD DISK SIZE RECOGNITION

I recently installed a 80 gig samsung harddisk as a slave disk to a seagate barracuda which contains win xp but it is only recognised as a 40 gig hard disk the motherboard is a via P4PB 266E
ANYONE ANY SOLUTIONS ?

I had a similar problem with a Maxtor that I fitted. The answer was that the BIOS would only recognise up to a certain size. Maxtor have a little programme to override this as long as one of the drives fitted is a Maxtor.. I am sure Seagate must have somthing similar.
