A quick one for the gurus(I sense Fruit Bat is hovering!!). Will give background below for anyone who is bored:- Error messages on start up are - 1."The following value in the .SIF used by setup is corrupted or missing"
2. "Value 0 on the line in Section [Source Disk Files] with key "SP2.CAB" 3. "Setup cannot continue Press F3 to quit". 4. "PXE-E61 Media Test Failure. Check Cable. PXE-M0F Exiting PXE ROM"
BACKGROUND - mates computer who leaves everything on 24/7. He came home, computer off, re-started, got above messages. Tried XP boot floppies, tried safe mode, tried system restore, tried re-install of XP cd. All failed. Removed HD & placed in my computer (works fine-re-installed XP 1st time). Put HD back & same problems. HD is found on boot up only.

Can't find Hard drive, appears to be trying to boot from a network.

Check BIOS is set correctly is the drive found in BIOS?
Is CD drive set as first boot device and Hard drive set as second.
IDE hard drive must be set as master
SATA hard drive must be in first SATA port.
