Bought 123.5gb deskstar H/D as second drive
PC does not see correct size only as 32GB.
Running Win98SE, flashed Bios to latest version still no good. Manually set size of H/D. Not seen at all. MSI K7N420 PRO Mainboard. Any ideas what I am doing Wrong.

Dont know if this apllies but click here

Do you have a option on your BIOS to be configured to "Auto" for your primary master drive.

As a check, run fdisk /status from a command prompt...whats it say?

Was the BIOS flash specifically to give support for larger hard drives - because 32Gb is a BIOS limitation capacity.

You can normally get software from the drive manufacturers site that will get around the limitation - or you can get a plug-in IDE card whch will enable it to work.

Also check the jumpers - some drives have a jumper to limit their capaciy to 32Gb - double check you haven't set this on by mistake.
