At the moment, the only way I can hang up my modem is to go to Outlook Express, click work offline, then check the dialogue box.I do not use Outlook express so this is cumbersome but when I click work offline in other programs the modem stays open and I cannot use the Phone.Other than getting broadband does anyone have a solution for this?I am using XP.

If you go to your connection in the right hand pane as you click on start, in 'Connect To' and Right click it, then select properties (next to the bottom), on the first 'Tab' which is General, tick the box at the bottom regarding 'Show icon In Notification area' you will then get an icon next to the clock when connected. To disconnect in future, right click the icon, choose disconnect, or double click the icon to get the connection box.
