Can you post a copy of your boot.ini file

  fire 18:34 01 Dec 05

is this the one i open from recovery.
one thing i have noticed when i have followed the repair of the boot ini is that on reboot the machine stil shows 2 options of windows to choose from.

Right click My Computer.

Click Properties.

Then Advanced - then Startup and Recovery.

Click edit and Notepad will open with the Boot.ini file. Copy the contents and post in this thread.

Be careful not to make any changes

How many hard disks do you have in the PC on which you're trying to install WinXP Pro?

If there are two, does one of them contain an OS?

Is the 160Gb a SATA (Serial ATA) hard disk?
