HAL switch on PSU

  TIMBO22 10:48 04 May 06

I've just aquired a Jeantech case with a 450 psu already installed.
By the main on/off switch on the PSU is another 3 point slider switch with HAL as the the markers. Can anyone please tell me what HAL stands for and which part of HAL I should be using.

Simple...H=high,A=auto and L=low.

It refers to the fan speed on the psu......auto will run as slow as possible and incease the fan speed as necessary.

High is selectable where you want maximum cooling at all times and low is for minimum noise use in an area where there is low ambient temperature and/or the computer is not being used for intensive work(like gaming).

Just leave on A (auto).
