Guzgog again re Vista

Thanks for your input it has been helpful especially as far as the drivers I need.

However before we buy a new system, and we do need one now, can someone please answere this.
In the past when I have upgraded to a new OS I have been able to put in my old HDD and access and use the programs on it. Will I be able to do the same with Vista?

Thanks Richard (Guzgog)

Do you really mean programs, or do you mean data files?

It sounds unlikely that you could install an old HDD as a secondary drive into a new computer and then be able to run the programs on that HDD. Surely they wouldn't be registered with the OS?
