Having finally loading xp succesfully on an old pc, I now find the screen has a green caste over the colour image beneath! any ideas anyone?

If its an old crt monitor it is possible that it has reached it 'best before' date. I had a similar problem with an old crt television and didn't really notice it until I got a new one. Could try de-gaussing it if it has that facility. Check the menu on the monitor.

Then its a faulty Graphics card, You could try turning the power of to computer and pull out the card then put it back as contacts may be tarnished, with it not being used

the built in graphics card terminals were damged, a new card has done the trick, thanks
