graphics problem

I use my system for home office and occasional video editing &burning DVDs (my local drama group), but my actual working knowledge of computers is zilch. I have used a local repair shop when necessary but it seems that every time, whilst dealing with the current problem, they then cause another!! After the last visit, now on startup I get error message "Error in NvQTwk missing entry NvCplDaemon and sometimes a blank monitor until I switch the monitor off and then on again.. I see this error message relates to my graphics card(Creative GeForce2MXSDR) and appears to relate to overclocking. I don't play video games so am not interested in overclocking. What can I do to get rid of this error message and if I take no action, is there any way in which it can be affecting my burning of DVDs on Nero where there is currently a problem.

Getting the latest drivers from click here would seem to be a good first move.

"The link you have given me is for NVidia - I seethat Creative also have an updated driver for their card though it is quite elderly. Any thoughts as to which would be best - Crucial or Nvidia?"

Please post replies here; that way others can join in the thread.

I always prefer the nvidia drivers over any manufacturer's customisation.
