is it possible to upgrade the cards ram, just as it is with a motherboard ?

  Totally-braindead 16:16 02 Mar 07

No.

Sorry that was a bit blunt wasn't it. But its right you can't as the memory is built into the graphics card.

So you'll need a new card if you want to upgrade.

thx everyone i wasnt sure bout this but am now lol, another dilema for u all , im upgrading to sli but just 1 graphic card to begin with, will ineed to matching pr or will i be able to mix & match when i want to get 2nd card ?

  Totally-braindead 12:24 05 Mar 07

You need 3 things.
Firstly your motherboard must support SLI and have 2 graphics card slots.
Secondly the cards must be Nvidia cards and must be SLI ready, it tells you on the graphics cards website which cards are SLI ready, ATI cards have their own version of SLI called crossfire. You cannot use ATI cards on SLI.
Thirdly the cards must be the same. You cannot mix and match.
