Graphics Crash?

I've got a Packard Bell PC on which it seems the graphics keep crashing.

It boots up OK, but after a while the screen goes black and all that's showing is a cursor arrow.

Do you think this is XP or graphics drivers related, or could it be a hardware problem? It's just running from onboard graphics.

How long before it goes black ?
can you get into windows?

Try reinstalling / updating graphics drivers.

Try a windows repair - Start run - type sfc /scannow press ok.

Time varies, 5-10 minutes.

Boots into Windows OK.

Was running scan but it crashed.

Will try closing down some processes to see if that speeds the scan up.

Will try to get update drivers as well.

Thanks thus far Fruit Bat.
