Graphics card for Photo editing

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good graphics card for photo editing?

My PC is an E6300 Core2 duo machine with PCI-E and 1GB RAM

I have a 22" widescreen monitor running at 1680x1050 and my onboard graphics is ok, but is taking up RAM and cannot drive the Vista Areo functions at this resolution (works OK on my old 1280x1024 monitor).

I want a card that can run at 1680x1050 without using system RAM and can also playback DVD's. I'm not interested in Gaming. Image quality is important for my photos.

Any suggestions / information on features / memory required and specifc cards appreciated.

Thanks

I'm using the radion 9550 with 256mb ram and it works perfectly using Photoshop CS3 & Lightroom, with a 20" monitor, resolution of 1600 X 1200.
