graphics card install

Much frustration has built up due to my inability to get my graphics card working.

Home built pc running ME
MSI MB 651 combo.
Crucial Graphics card ati 9100/128

Card not recognised in device manager.
The fan works on the card.
Windows won't detect it either.
Try to install software and get the following message.
" try to setup standard vga driver "
Which i did.

Still wont install, comes up with message again.

Tried to disable onboard graphics via BIOS, not obvious how to do.

Init display first options...pci slot or agp, which should it be.

I have been told to disable plug and play via BIOS, this also is not obvious even with manual, no answers from msi website, just option to download the manual.

Is my card dead?

i think it is a inner fault! i would ask whoever you bought it from to see if its a manufacturing fault ? ask there engineers

you need to set agp . and disable onboard graphics . dont know why you would have to disable plug and play awareness .

i dont have an msi mobo manual to hand but onboard graphics options should be in advanced setup i believe .
