graphics card help

Hi there
I have recently purchased a 32mb navidia tnt2 agp4x 3d graphics card ,I installed it no problem but when I fire up the computer the monitor stays on stand by,can any one give me any reasons for that to happen,is there any thing in the bios setup which I should change my monitor works with my onboard graphics .please help

Silly question, but have you plugged your monitor into the graphics card?

I would take out the card and reseat it first, did you remove all the drivers from your last card as your computer might still be looking for them?
