I have a nvidia GeForce4 (shadows) model MX440-8X. Looked on nvidia website trying to look for voltage of this card. taken out of old pc with a socket a motherboard and would like to put into new unit with a celeron 2.8. Voltage needs to be 0.8 to 1.5. Must not be 3.3 according to manual. any help or guidance?

Your nvidia GeForce4 (shadows) model MX440-8X, should run at 0.8 volts. A 4X card will run at 1.5Volts. It's only when you drop to 2X or 1X that it usually runs at 3.3volts.

You can check a card by looking at the gold slots. If, looking from the locking tab, you have a key (notch) a third of the way across, it is 0.8 to 1.5 v. If the key ( notch ) is two thirds of the way across it is 3.3v. This way you cannot put the wrong speed of graphics card into the wrong motherboard.

Just to clarify the key ( notch ) is farthest away from the monitor connection.

Just to clarify the key ( notch ) is farthest away from the monitor connection on the the gold contacts and before the locking tab.
