Google Search, view, problem returning to original search results

  compumac 17:07 15 Jul 13

Windows 7, Explorer V10.

I search on Google for a particular item, I am presented with a number of different links. I select a link and view its content.

I then click the back button (IE10 top left) with the intention of returning to the search results but it does not always return to there but stays on the current page. Sometimes clicking on the back button repeatedly will take you to the original search results.

I have noticed that on occasion but as I have Google toolbar installed if I need to get back to the search results then it is a simple click on the search button again.

Is it opening in a new tab?

Woolwell No - it just refreshes the current page. It does not happen every time but fairly frequently.
