Google Search

When I do a Google search in Firefox I get a "Search the Web" or a "Pages from the UK" option.

In Chrome I don't get the option and get usually get a couple of million US hits.

Any idea how I can set it up?

It is obviously a Google option rather than a browser one.

Are you using Google.com or Google.co.uk? I always get the option on Google.co.uk.

canarieslover is right. Go into your Chrome tools menu (the spanner button)and click Options. On the Basics tab, specify Google.co.uk as your home page, and against 'On Startup, check the 'Open homepage' radio button.

That should solve it.

Thanks for the responses.

Provider 2 - Advanced search only works for one particular search; I was looking for a default.

Pineman - don't want Google as my homepage, however, while looking at options as you suggest I find I can select Google.co.uk as a default, so thanks for steering me in the right direction!

You've helped me often enough - glad I could make a small contribution on this occasion.
