Trying to do a spot of shopping in Bath. All I get is a blur.

My own address in a small Scottish town is as clear as a bell.

What am I doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. Google Earth still doesn't have high-resolution images for some areas - including Bath.

I thought that I was missing something

Have you tried Microsoft Virtual Earth, it shows the streets of Bath as clear as a bell.

click here for Windows Live Local, which uses Virtual Earth. You can't zoom in quite as far as Google Earth, but there is more coverage. Also in bigger cities you can get a bird's eye view, which shows aerial photos of the buildings took at an angle so you can see them in much greater detail. This also includes Bath, as it's close to Bristol.

Just tried Virtual Earth, Coverage is bad.. Doesn't even have coverage of Belfast..lol..!

"My own address in a small Scottish town is as clear as a bell".

That's so it's easier to see before bombing it.

"Trying to do a spot of shopping in Bath. All I get is a blur"

Why would anyone want to bomb Bath? It's an architectural gem.
