Google best match popup box

Hi there

Hope someone can help as I am banging my head on the desk. How do I get rid of the annoying and silly best match popup box that google now insists I need in the bottom right corner of my screen every time I click on an item in the google search results? I have been reading for ages this morning and cannot find a fix.

Please help me!

Go to search settings at the top right of the google page. Check the box "Do not provide query suggestions in the search box". Done.

I think I may have solved this one. I finally found something called Quick Scroll in the toolbar options and unclicked this. I hope it solves the problem.
