Returning to UK after years abroad I will lose my local ISP and associated email address etc so I want to use Gmail for the foreseeable future as I have an account already.

Can anyone please tell me in simple terms how to import my legacy email & contacts into Gmail from my present POP3 ISP account? It needs to be only a basic method, possibly all into one folder just for the record really. Thanks

It's very simple for most clients.

Your old eMail account should downgrade to a PAYG (Pay as you go) account. You don't actually pay anything these days, it is a term from dial up days. What it means though is that your email address will still be useable.. I would look to migrate to your GMail account and maybe look to forward your old address to your gmail account, this would need to be done before you return to UK.
