last year I downloaded Gimp but deleted it after a time.I now need it but when I try to download it I get the message 'C:\programme files\gimp-2setup\unis000.msg is missing'

I think some gimp files are still on the computer somewhere though there is nothing in add/delete in the control panel and an XP tuner disc which shows all programmes has no record.
I would be gratefulfor suggestions

If Revo click here wont/cant uninstall it - why not just delete any the Gimp folder from Program Files and download/install afresh ?

Try run.Search.

It sounds like it's changed the default download location of Internet Explorer, it will have to be edited back in the registry, this site describes how to do that:

Thanks all. It was as simple as going to search, finding some gimp files and deleting them.
