GIGABYTE GRAPHICS CARD 8400GS

I have been given a new NVIDIA GEFORCE GV-N84S-5121 graphics accelerator.Cable wise the card comes with one two pin cable for connection to the motherboard S/PDIF out pin & the ground pin.
There appears to be no other plug attachment point on the card despite the fact that the installation guide shows a power cable connection on the card.
Does the card draw it's power supply direct from the M/B or have I got a U/S card.
Any advice please.

Yes, I can confirm that a 8400GS (including your Gigabyte branded one) draws its power via the motherboard interface, & does not require external/additional power from the PSU to run. G

I had a look at the manual (via click here) about connecting the power cable on page 7. I think this is most likely a generic instruction they include in all or some of their GPU manuals. G
