getting BB wireless online after fresh OS install.

Hello all,

My new HDD is here and installed and running ok on my Dell laptop under XP home.

I was formerly on a wireless connection with broadband/Wanadoo.

How do I set up an online account again please. I have the original Cd from freeserve but that is for the old 'stingray' type modem right?

If I insert the wireless card it seems to have no drivers for it. Should I run the disc the router came with?

A few pointers may well save me hours of aimless digging around here.

Many thanks in advance,

If I am reading your post correctly, don' try to install a driver for an old device.

With a reinstallation I have only ever had to get the wireless card working again and it picks up the connection. My broadband account (NTL) remains active (and the I leave the router set as it was before). You should have had drivers for the wireless card when you first got it. If lost go to the manufacturers web site.

Yep, found the driver on a CD that was hiding from me.
Thankfully I kep the WEP key written down too! :-)

I am with a new HDD, fresh install and online with no wires.

I think there is an electronic god after all!
