Get rid of virtual drive DVD rom

I find I have inadvertantly made a virtual drive DVDromon my PC. I dont have a dvd and it is now drive E because I have C&D drive partitions, my CDROM should be E. but is now F and my burner G. Can anyone help me please. Thanks.

From the message you have posted have you installed any software recenty with regard to the virtual drive if you uninstall the Software

mr tech UK. A friend & I were working with Clone CD, and on their web page and somehow finished up with a virtual dvd rom drive which took the drive letter E,DVDrom, and now I am having trouble copying CDs also CDs autostarting. I have tried removing it with device manager but no luck. Would reinstalling WIN 98, on top fix the problem. Thanks for your help.
