"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services" ?

I just wondered if anyone knew what "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services" is and if it is a viurs etc or is merely part of windows? Any help appreciated as i have no idea whether allowing it to access the internet is a good thing even though my internet won't work without it connected to the internet! Thanks, lewis.

"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services" (SVCHOST.EXE)is a Dns server for the internet, and also a "Generic Service Host" for other processes, such as .dll's or services so you need to allow it connection rights.
