Have you checked the status of the devices in Device Manager? (Start - Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager)

I have and beleive it is linked to a zoom adsl modem which is working apart from occassionally dropping the connection. I have reinstaaled and upgraded to the latest driver but problems still here.

Are you running XP or 98? (Or neither)

Make a RESTORE POINT
Open the registry, by typing "Regedit" [no quotes] in the "Run" box.
Navigate to HKLM/System where you will see ControlSet001, ControlSet002, and CurrentControlSet.
Tick the box of ControlSet001 and navigate down to Services/ADILOADER
In the right hand pane the item "Start" will probably have a (2) listed in the data column.
Highlight "Start" and right click the mouse
Choose "modify" and in the value data box simply type "0" [no quotes] and click "OK"
You now have to repeat this for ControlSet002 and then repeat it again for CurrentControlSet
Exit the registry, re-boot.

Thanks

I have followed the instrcutions the only difference being I did not have a controlset002 but had a 003 and I made the change there.

It looks as if that has done the trick thank you.
